Urban freestyle dancers collaborate on stage with musicians for a funky, experimental improvised performance. The stage is open for dancers and musicians to join.
After the jam you might wanna shake your body down while our DJs present a soulful set to help you connect with each other on the dance floor.
History
From Budapest to the Netherlands
Budapest
Funkin'4 started in Budapest, Hungary in December 2017. The concept was born to present urban dance culture through live music improvisation.
Amsterdam
Now based in Amsterdam at Splendor. The first Funkin'4 Splendor edition took place in August 2024.
Rotterdam
Expanding to Rotterdam at C3 Studios. Testing the potential for a new series in the city.
The Format
How it works
Live Music Jam
Musicians provide the groove while freestyle dancers improvise to the live music.
Open Stage
Other musicians and dancers can join the jam. The stage is open.
DJ Sets
Soulful music continues after the jam with funk, disco, and house sets.

Urban dancer, photographer, connector. 20+ years in street dance. Founded Urban Dance Hungary. Runs PapperPictures photography and videography.
